Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan

The Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan will help to develop your grip, stance, balance and coordination, to help you develop a great golf swing.

The priority of the long game swing is to get your ball in play off the tee and then to progress the ball to the green, without getting into any of the course hazards.  Reducing the number of shots it takes to get from tee to green depends largely on how good your swing fundamentals are.

The priority of the long game swing is to get your ball in play off the tee and then to progress the ball to the green, without getting into any of the course hazards.  To reduce the number of shots it takes to get from tee to green depends largely on how good your swing fundamentals are.

The Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan will help to develop your grip, stance, balance and coordination, to help you develop a great golf swing.

Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan

Anyone who has played golf will tell you that it’s not a game of perfection.  So, you will not hit every fairway of the tee or green in regulation with your long iron shots.  The PGA Tour players hit between 45% and 72% of fairways off the tee and between 50% -72% of greens in regulation.  So, even the best players in the world have issues with their long game shots.

For the average amateur golfer, getting the ball of the tee and in play on the fairway is probably more important than the distance they drive the ball.  As is staying out of trouble on the way to the green with their iron shots.  Your key thought should be accuracy not distance.

Developing a technically sound and repeatable golf swing is vital if you want to lower your scores.  Lots of amateur golfers’ practice for hours on the range, trying to perfect their full swing.  However, often golfers training sessions are not focused on improvement but on engraining swing faults.  The Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan has a step by step approach so, you can focus on improving not engraining errors.

If you want to lower your scores, you need to develop a fundamentally sound swing that is both consistent and repeatable.  The Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan has been designed to help you improve your golf swing.

Lesson Learning Outcomes

The Golf Swing Fundamentals Coaching Plan aims to:

  • Inspire golfers to develop their golf swing technique
  • Help golfers develop good stance, posture and balance
  • Golf swing timing and coordination
  • Show you how to increase club head speed and distance
  • Golf is a motor skill and therefore, requires repetition of movement through focused drills to help your brain store the new skill
  • How to develop a long game shot routine
  • Help you to focus your practice sessions on making real improvement

Learning Process

The golf swing is a complex movement that requires that you develop the fundamentals of grip, stance, posture and balance.  You also need to perform the swing with the correct timing and co-ordination to deliver the club square through impact, maximising club head speed and therefore distance.    We have broken the swing down into a number of lessons that focus on all aspects of the golf swing through:

  • Set up
  • Takeaway
  • Backswing,
  • Downswing
  • The impact Zone
  • The follow through
  • Timing and co-ordination

So, the development of your swing can be completed in bight sized pieces.  This allows you to work through the plan in your own time, at your pace to maximise learning.

Best Chance of Success

We have developed our programme based on golf science and modern teaching techniques. All you need to do is commit to the process and dedicate some time to practice and:

  • Understand the theory of the technique
  • Give the technique a try
  • Reflect on how it worked for you
  • Understand that it will take time and practice to develop the skill to get to the expert stage

Fitness Programmes

Golfers often look to play better golf by buying the latest equipment, endless practice and expensive golf lessons.  Although these activities are often fun the improvements in performance are often not noticable.  Sometimes the lack of improvement is due to our body’s physical limitations.
